Residential New Construction HVAC Installation

Building a new custom home provides a unique opportunity to ensure every phase of the project is done correctly. Choosing a quality brand of equipment is important, but it’s the experience and skill of the installing HVAC contractor that will have the greatest impact on efficiency, comfort and system longevity.

Residential New Construction HVAC Installation

All of our designers engineer every new HVAC system to conform to the guidelines outlined in ACCA Manual J. These calculations include a variety of essential structural elements that affect the heating and cooling load:

  • Building size and orientation
  • Envelope tightness
  • Insulation values
  • Exterior glass exposure
  • Duct leakage
  • Climate history
  • Occupant produced loads
  • K-value of doors and windows

Most comfort issues are related to improper system design. At Bill Joplin’s Air Conditioning & Heating, our precise load calculations ensure that every room in your home will receive the right amount of conditioned air to keep your family comfortable in all weather conditions. You’ll also experience better air movement and lower utility costs.

New Construction HVAC Installation for Custom Builders

Once the air distribution system is designed and the equipment is selected, we’ll prepare for the installation phase of the project. This includes a job site visit to verify the mechanical plan is compatible with the actual construction of the building. Our measure and draw service confirms that the plenum, ductwork and other components all fit together properly. During the rough-in portion of the job, our technicians make sure the ductwork is installed, strapped and sealed. The refrigerant lines will be sized correctly, and the joints will be professionally soldered to last a lifetime.

As the house nears completion, we’ll set the units and make the final connections. When the system is charged with refrigerant, our techs run a performance test to verify that the correct volume of air arrives at every supply register. Finally, we’ll balance the registers for improved airflow.
