This time every year, Bill Joplin’s asks The Community Food Pantry what their greatest need is. Based on The Pantry’s response, Bill Joplin’s will be collecting bags of dried pinto beans for the organization through the end of the year. Joplin’s has provided assistance with air conditioning and heating needs for The Community Food Pantry of McKinney facility for many years.
You may make donations directly to the Community Pantry location, or bring your donation to Bill Joplin’s office.
The Community Food Pantry is a nonprofit outreach program that provides food to families who have found themselves in crisis, including:
- Those that have lost their jobs.
- Those who have lost income due to illness, medical bills, or perhaps a death in the family.
- People who have had an addition to their family and cannot make ends meet.
Those in crisis are the hungry in our community for whatever reason. The Community Pantry is not bound by any geographical scope and holds a 501(c)3 classification from the Internal Revenue Service. They are staffed entirely by volunteers, and have been a part of this community for 36 years.
