Chuck Warner returns for another Bill Joplin’s Training Center video. In this video Chuck is explaining how to clean your AC’s outdoor condenser coil.
The coil’s job is to remove the heat from the air in your home and expel it back outside where it belongs. As the coil gets clogged with dirt and debris over time it will require cleaning. This is because less air can move through the AC system causing it to overload.
Cleaning your condenser coils can be simple however; you don’t have to do it yourself. This service is offered as part of Bill Joplin’s Preventative Maintenance Program; along with several other helpful system checks.
Your unit’s condenser coil is the part of the outdoor unit that removes the heat from the refrigerant. The condenser coil doesn’t work well when it gets covered with a layer of dirt and grime. When it happens, the removal of the heat is impeded, and your AC unit must work harder to do its job. Ultimately, this starts to wear down the parts of your system and can eventually cause the system to fail.
